2 days - Buddhist trek at Mt.Shichimen

Mt.Shichimen, located in the southwest of Yamanashi, is the holy mountain of Buddhism, Nichiren sect. It was founded over 700 years ago and have been climbed by numbers of the faithful for the purpose of discipline every year.

The trail is regarded as the approach of Kenshinin temple at the hilltop of 1,700 meters high. They offer accommodation for visitors (Shukubo), also invite to participate in the prayer ceremony.

 In the morning, sun is rising up toward Mt.Fuji. Don't miss such an impressive scene.

Itinerary

Day 1

(Depart at Tokyo (Shinjuku) and 2 hour 30 minutes by train (via Kofu). *ref. Location & Access)

 9:30 Meet up at Shimobe Onsen station.

10:30 Hagoromo trailhead (by guide's car or a taxi) and start the hike

14:30 Kenshinin.

Day 2

7:30 Start Walking.

8:30 The top of Mt.Shichimen

13:30 Hagoromo trailhead

14:30 Arrive back to Shimobe Onsen station
