Nishizawa Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys in Japan, located in the Okuchihibu Mountains. The valley forms deep v-shaped gorge consisted of white granite.
A hiking trail leads up the narrow valley along a picturesque mountain stream and past several waterfalls. The highlight is Nanatsugama-Godan-no-Taki, a gorgeous waterfall with five tiers and seven pools. It is especially beautiful in the Autumn season, as colored leaves and emerald-green waters create such a impressive scene.
