My guide area, Yamanashi, is only 120km west of Tokyo. The capital is Kofu city, located in the center of the Yamanashi prefecture. Its population is about 185 thousands as of today.
Mountain area expands just like as surrounding the city. The Okuchichibu Mountains are in northern part, Japan Minami (Southern) Alps to the west, Mt.Fuji towers over them all in south.
The easiest way to access is by taking a JR (Japan Railways) train that have a direct express line from the Tokyo area.

Optionally, expressway buses operate between Kofu, Kawaguchiko and Shinjuku.
Accommodations can also be arranged for before and after the tour.
Yamanashi is known for its hot springs (onsen), so there are many hotels and inns with a lot of local charm.
